Photo Diary: Cumberland Island

On our way up to Charleston, South Carolina for Thanksgiving we spend 2 nights in St. Marys, Georgia. I chose this tiny coastal hamlet for its access to Cumberland Island. Cumberland Island is now an abandoned island run by the National Park Service that was once owned by many wealthy and famous american families. The most astounding thing to me were the feral horses peacefully roaming around. It was a lovely and restful way to start our week-long road trip.
