Lesson Plan: Palette of Narmer

Lesson Plan: Palette of Narmer

This lesson is stupid easy, hands off for the teacher, and actually fun! What a beautiful combo!

Each student is handed a drawing of the front and back of the Palette of Narmer and my modified article about the content in the palette (I cannot find the original link to credit the author but the original was written by Francesca Jourdan for a course with the historian Michel Guay at Université du Québec à Montréal). Their instructions are pretty simple: read the article and color/label ALL the content in the piece. This lesson is a great 40 minutes, which is the length of my classes on Wednesdays.

Homework: if they need to finish their labeling at home they can, but most importantly they need to transfer their information onto their notecard.
