WEEK 4 of summer!! ❤️ 🏖 🚗 We were both v WEEK 4 of summer!! ❤️ 🏖 🚗 We were both very happy to have @thefuriosity back from Kansas City in time for Fathers Day. But then he then had a weeklong virtual AP summer institute to teach AP Research. With all that, we managed to take a little road trip to Sarasota to see @theadventuresofbeka ••• #jisforjourney #furiosifamily #beach #beachbaby #theringlingmuseum #sarasota #summer #teachersummer
Week 3 of SUMMER! 🌴🌞This was an interesting Week 3 of SUMMER! 🌴🌞This was an interesting week: @thefuriosity was in Kansas City for AP Biology & I was in survival mode. 🧑‍💻A few days with my parents + spending time with friends with babies 👶👶+ dealing with crazy baby poops 💩 + letting this kid wreak havoc because I have no choice. 🤪 Counting down the hours until Will gets back! #summerbaby #jisforjourney #furiosifamily #summer2022 #soloparenting #teachersummer #kansascity #11monthsold
Summer Week 2 (I’m a little behind). Wills had a Summer Week 2 (I’m a little behind). Wills had a 4 day program @ucf.edu 🧬 so I spent my days entertaining this little dude. We went to a reading event at the library & splashed around with friends. 📚💦 On Friday I dropped @thefuriosity off at the airport to Kansas City for the AP Biology reading & I drove to South Florida to spend 4 days with my family. ✈️ 🚗 We spent a lot of our weekend chasing this baby up the stairs. ••• Oh & Saturday was our 6th wedding anniversary!! 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️#summervacation #furiosifamily #11monthsold #summer2022 #summerbaby

I believe in the power of prayer. I believe it is I believe in the power of prayer. I’m *actually* going to Oxford this time!!! ✈️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 📚 Short recap: February 2019 I won a scholarship from the @esu_us of Central Florida to travel to Oxford, England to study for three weeks. Well we all know what happened that March (#covid_19 😷) and my trip was canceled. I choose not to go the next summer (being 8 months pregnant and all 🤰) but this summer I’m definitely going!!! I’m studying modern warfare & the refugee crisis••• #oxforduniversity #summer #studyabroad #highschoolteacher #teachersummer #englishspeakingunion #scholarship #jisforjourney #finallygoingsomewhere #oxfordsummerschool #ontheblog
BOOK REVIEW 🤍 A few weeks ago I was given the u BOOK REVIEW 🤍 A few weeks ago I was given the unexpected opportunity to get a free audiobook for an *official* book review for Christianity Without Dogma @christianconsciousnessorg 🙌📖✝️

At first I wasn’t sure that it would be able to encompass issues felt by all Christian denominations. Specifically, as a Catholic, I wondered if this book would speak to me. But it certainly delivered on its premise! Read more of the review on @jisforjourney 👩🏻‍💻

Since reading this book I have stumbled upon other de/reconstructing(ish) Instagram accounts: @okcatholics @reconstructingcatholic @femcatholic @cublorg @the_uninfluenced_catholic

Hello! My name is Jessica & I am the content creator of J is for Journey; I started this blog way back in the fall of 2013 when I left to teach English Italy. And here I am, many years later, still blogging about travel, art history and religion – my three great passions in life. Now, with the birth of our son, I have added a fourth passion: motherhood. I hope you enjoy the journey!
