I’m *actually* going to Oxford this time!!! ✈️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 📚 Short recap: February 2019 I won a scholarship from the @esu_us of Central Florida to travel to Oxford, England to study for three weeks. Well we all know what happened that March (#covid_19 😷) and my trip was canceled. I choose not to go the next summer (being 8 months pregnant and all 🤰) but this summer I’m definitely going!!! I’m studying modern warfare & the refugee crisis••• #oxforduniversity #summer #studyabroad #highschoolteacher #teachersummer #englishspeakingunion #scholarship #jisforjourney #finallygoingsomewhere #oxfordsummerschool #ontheblog
BOOK REVIEW 🤍 A few weeks ago I was given the u BOOK REVIEW 🤍 A few weeks ago I was given the unexpected opportunity to get a free audiobook for an *official* book review for Christianity Without Dogma @christianconsciousnessorg 🙌📖✝️

At first I wasn’t sure that it would be able to encompass issues felt by all Christian denominations. Specifically, as a Catholic, I wondered if this book would speak to me. But it certainly delivered on its premise! Read more of the review on @jisforjourney 👩🏻‍💻

Since reading this book I have stumbled upon other de/reconstructing(ish) Instagram accounts: @okcatholics @reconstructingcatholic @femcatholic @cublorg @the_uninfluenced_catholic

Hello! My name is Jessica & I am the content creator of J is for Journey; I started this blog way back in the fall of 2013 when I left to teach English Italy. And here I am, many years later, still blogging about travel, art history and religion – my three great passions in life. Now, with the birth of our son, I have added a fourth passion: motherhood. I hope you enjoy the journey!
