Checking in

October 16, 2016

So I’ll keep this post short because I have been up to my eyeballs planning our winter trip to Germany and grading over 100 papers but I wanted to talk about some things that are coming up:

  1. I am planning to (eventually) write a post (or several) on how I plan some of my vacations because they are daunting!
  2. My Humanities students just turned in new blog projects and there are some amazing topics in there, I can’t wait to share!
  3. It’s finally not 100 degrees in Florida (at least for the past few days) and it is making me so antsy to go up to NYC & Boston for Thanksgiving!

I feel like the next few months are going to FLY by because I am looking forward to two once-in-a-lifetime trips where I get to spend some much-needed quality time with family 🙂

P.S. I just realized that Will and I missed our 4-month wedding anniversary (is that a thing?) a few days ago. We’ve never been good at keep track of that stuff! Oops!

Well hey Nicole! I teach at Oviedo High School. My husband and I went to UCF and then just never left the area.

I haven’t actually done any field trips with Art History except the Mummies of the World at OSC last year. What do you have in mind?

I am thinking of heading to St. Petes to the Dali or to Sarasota to the Ringling. Someone suggested Gainesville has a wonderful bunch of museums (I have not made it there yet). If you could choose a trip, where would you go?
I have done the Cornell and OMA as a one day field trip which was quaint. We hit Cornell first thing in the morning and had lunch then stopped by OMA.

Well UF has a contemporary art piece from our 250, so that’s a plus!
