This is our 7th year of swapping books for summer, if you want an overview of the previous books we have swapped CLICK HERE. Until typing this post I didn’t realize that we started this the summer we graduated college! Awesome. So this year’s books at totally accidently about China & germs. Like I swear it was in no way related to COVID-19. We select books without consulting the other and we presented them today.
I am having Will read China in Ten Words & he assigned me to read Germs: Biological Weapons and America’s Secret War.
I encourage EVERYONE to hop on this bandwagon, pick a friend or your partner to start this tradition. It’s not only a great way to pass the lazier summer months, but it’s also a fantastic opportunity to get to know someone and spark intelligent conversation. I come from an art history background and Will has a degree in the sciences so we welcome the opportunity to step into each other’s worlds, but obviously keeping the other person’s interests and understanding in mind.
Happy reading!
