St. Petersburg Food Reviews

For the record no one is paying me for these reviews, I justย like good food. I mean who doesn’t!? However, I wish someone paid me to eat good food…

Kahwa Coffee Roasters

After dropping Will off at the Marine Bowl at USF’s St. Petersburg campus at the ungodly hour of 7:15 am I made my way to get my second breakfast. I literally picked Kahwa because it was the closest place that opened at 7:30 am. ๐Ÿ™‚ But it was a winner! The Red Pepper & Goat Cheese Quiche was perfectly cooked and a great one-person portion.

Cost: $7.33 (Quiche & a teapot of hot tea)

Brooklyn Knish @ The St. Petersburg Farmer’s Market

After hitting up the Dalรญ Museum, I was starving and conveniently there was an awesome farmer’s market going on Saturday morning. After weighing all my options I decided on a Spinach & Mushroom Knish and washed it down with a Cucumber & Basil Infused Water. Walked around while munching and listening to cool live music.

Cost: $7.00 ($5 knish & $2 water)

Cafe Solei

This cafe is beach-side and in a Publix shopping center but don’t let that fool you. It’s an incredibly yummy French experience (I accidentally ate a lot of French food this trip!). The people were sweet and the food excellent!

Cost: $15.00 (small cappuccino, large latte, and a Brie, Walnut, Pear, & Honey Croissant)

Oyster Shuckers

After spending the afternoon at the beach I really wanted some seafood for dinner. Just as that thought was going through my mind an advertising plane flew by for a place called Oyster Shuckers. It felt like fate. They’re right on the beach and have a FANTASTIC all you can eat crab leg deal (which neither one of us got funny enough). We got a dozen raw oysters, 10 garlic wings, and Will had blackened Mahi-Mahi with bay scallops. Oh and a Blue Moon beer and two-for-one Margaritas. Can’t ask for a better beach-side experience.

Cost: $72.00 (including tip
